30 31 BAŞARI ÖDÜLÜ | SUCCESS AWARD Rasim SARIKAYA (Vezirköprü, 1983) Hacettepe Üniversitesi / Güzel Sanatlar Enstitüsü Hacettepe University / Institute of Fine Arts BUGÜNÜN FABRİKASI / FACTORY TODAY Karışık Teknik, Tuval Üzerine Dijital Baskı Mixed Technique, Digital Printing on Canvas 2017 BAŞARI ÖDÜLÜ | SUCCESS AWARD “Factory Today”; Pop’un dilini kullanır çünkü bugünün savaşlarının inanılmaz bir vahşet düzeyine ulaşması sonucunda her günü ölümcül kılması ve ölü çocuk bedenlerinin her yerde oluşudur. Bu bedenler; sürekli maruz kalmamız nedeniyle hissizleştiğimiz, görmezden geldiğimiz fakat seri olarak ürettiğimiz ve çok çabuk tükettiğimiz popüler imgelere dönüşmüştür. Bu imgeler seri üretilmiştir çünkü her yerde ve aynıdırlar. Bugünün dünyası sürekli bu imgeleri üreten bir fabrikadır. Warhol’un atölyesine verdiği isim bu proje için güncellenmiştir. Pop Art’ı doğuran imgelerin en büyük üreticisi olan ülke, ironik olarak bugünün popüler imgelerine dönüşen ölü çocuk bedenlerinin de en büyük üreticilerindendir. Projede, bu trajedinin pop dilinde izleyiciye sunulmasının nedeni, gerçeğin, hissizleşen insan üzerinde yaratamadığı şok etkisini, ironiye başvurarak yaratma çabasıdır. “Kapıları aralamak” geleceğe gönderme yapar. Bugünün fabrikasının kapıları kapanmadan, kapılar aralamak mümkün olmayacaktır. “Factory Today “uses Pop language because as today’s wars reach an incredible level of brutality, everyday is deadly and the bodies of dead children are everywhere.These bodies have turned into popular images that we’ve ignored because we’re constantly exposed,but we’ve produced them in series and consumed quickly.Images are produced in series because they’re everywhere and same. Today’s world is a factory that constantly produces these images. The name given to Warhol’s workshop has been updated for this project. The country which is the largest producer of images that gave birth to Pop Art,is ironically the largest producer of dead child bodies that turn into today’s popular icons.In the project,the reason for the presentation of this tragedy in the pop language is an effort to create the shock effect that the truth can’t create on numb person by irony. “To inch open the doors”relates to the future. It won’t be possible to open the doors until the factory today’s are closed.
